ALICE undergroundThe cavern of the ALICE experiment - is a 50 m high dome, located 50 m underground. The solenoid magnet inherited from the former LEP experiment L3 is the most spectacular component of the experiment. |
ALICE Run Control Centre (ARC)The ALICE Run Control Centre (ARC) is at the heart of all ALICE operations. ALICE Run coordination team is responsible for the smooth operation of all the detectors and coordination with the CERN control center (CCC). ALICE collaborators take part in the detector shifts which occur 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Large screens mounted on the walls display the status of the beam from the LHC, the status of detectors, and some beautiful event displays. |
